Held in the hospitality marquee, Puhinui International Horse Trials presents Jonelle and Tim Price along with other international Kiwi riders joining you for breakfast on a lovely Saturday morning!

Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast whilst also hanging out with our New Zealand stars of the Eventing world 🥂

15th-16th December 2018

Fantastic opportunity to train over the prestigious X-C at Puhinui Reserve with one or more of the instructors on offer!

Choose from 3 top cross country instructors over 2 days of lessons.

  • Group lessons of 4 - approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (time will vary depending on number in lessons)

  • All levels catered for. Groups will be organised according to horse/rider ability

  • $10 admin fee

Now that we’re gearing up for Puhinui International in December, don’t forget to buy your Cocktail party ticket.

This fantastic evening on the 8th will involve:

PONY CLUB BANNER COMPETITION

So get your club together and your creative hats on, it’s time to get noticed on the big stage!

A representative will need to be present at Puhinui on Sunday to receive your prize.

NEW CROSS COUNTRY COURSE DESIGNER FOR 2018

We are excited to present to you the new course designer for the Puhinui International Horse Trial 2018...

Ewan Kellet

Ewan has been involved in Asian Games and some major Australian Events course designing. He has also competed up to CCI2* level 🐎

The impressive accolades he brings to Puhinui this year will feature a few changes- a new take on the courses and a different look at the water jump!

Tich Massey the man behind the cross country is taking a hiatus from the December event. We would however like to say a huge thank you to Tich for his fantastic course designing over the years at Puhinui.

RIDERS ARE HEADING TO AUCKLAND!

Over 200 horses and riders from all over New Zealand are converging on Auckland this weekend to compete in the prestigious Puhinui International 3 Day Event.

The event, commencing Friday 11th of December and concluding on Sunday 13th, is held at the Puhinui Reserve, next to Auckland Airport.  It is one of only two events held in New Zealand at the highest possible level of equestrian eventing.  While Olympians Sir Mark Todd, Vaughn Jefferis and Australian Stuart Tinney have all had their names engraved on the trophy in previous years, none of the field in this year’s top class have ever won the trophy before.

A SPICY MIX OF COMPETITORS AT PUHINUI INTERNATIONAL 3 DAY EVENT

Always an exciting competition, this year’s Puhinui International 3 Day Event has a little extra spice for a number of reasons.  Eventing’s superstar couple, Jonelle and Tim Price, who have had a dream eventing season in Europe, will be on hand to share their wealth of knowledge with riders and spectators alike.  They will be involved in a variety of activities, from leading walks around the cross country, talking at the Thompson Electrical Breakfast with the Stars on Saturday morning through to being in the fan zone each day ready for questions, autographs and photographs.
