The Three Day Event Scoring SystemScoring is on a penalty system with the lowest score winning. The Dressage test has a number of movements which are judged individually out of 10 marks. These marks are added, and converted into penalty points. The horse with the lowest dressage score is winning. View Dressage Scoring requirements: On Endurance Day, penalty points can be incurred by falls, refusals or by exceeding the time set - every second over the time incurs penalty points. In the Show Jumping phase, further penalty points can be incurred by knocking down a rail, falls, refusals or again by exceeding the time set. Of the three parts of the competition, Dressage, Endurance and Show Jumping, the importance of each score is in a ratio of 3:12:1. | ||
